I can't say enough about the superb service we experienced at our most recent visit to Cody's Bay Pines location. I've been a fan of this Cody's for over 15+ years (when they were originally in the shopping center next to Publix across the street from Tyrone Mall). I had family down from out of state due to the passing of my Father on Tuesday...Today we had a small service for Dad, and we convinced Mom and the whole crew to go to Cody's after church. I called ahead since we had a party of 9 with Mom (87 years young) in a wheelchair. I don't know how they pulled it off, as the place was packed, but they had a large table waiting for us as soon as we arrived. What made things even better, we got my favorite waitress "Kathy" who goes back over 15 years to the original location. Kathy always goes above and beyond...never an empty drink waiting to be refilled, always a big smile, just the best you could ask for as a server...She was extra patient with us, especially showing extra attention to my Mom. I know Mom enjoyed the extra touch! Dinner (as always) was excellent. From the steaks, to the prime rib, grilled Salmon, and Mom's favorite, the chopped steak. They say they make the chopped steak from the "trimmings" of the larger steaks they cut in house. It's her favorite every time we come. After dinner, we figured we'd get a couple deserts. Anthony, the manager on duty that night came and introduced himself, and made sure that everything was to our liking. The carrot cake was HUGE and delish, as was the cheesecake. The 2 servings were enough for ALL 9 of us! Here's the kicker. When Kathy brought us our check, I noticed that since we got there just before 6pm, all of our dinners came from the "early bird" menu. Over 12 items on the early bird menu at an average cost of $12.98. This included all the usual sides, unlimited salad, and the BEST rolls ever! Note that even though our dinners came from the early bird menu, they all seem to be the same size of the regular price entrees. All I can say is if you haven't tried Cody's at the Bay Pines location, be sure to give them a shot. I've found that all the usual steakhouses have gone down hill. Especially in the quality of steaks....Cody's is giving them all a run for the money. Just don't forget to ask if Kathy is available! Thanks Cody's for making our party of 9 all happy...and Mom loved it as always!

We had an outstanding waitress who answered our questions about menu items. She also promptly responded to requests for refills and cocktail sauce for our shrimp. We really enjoyed the shrimp. We should have split an order as we both only ate about half of the serving. This was only the second time we have eaten at a Cody's Roadhouse and we will be back again.
